Myth #1: If you continue on a low carbohydrate diet, excess fat loss will come naturally.

Real Deal: The truth is that low carbohydrate fad diets are not effective for long-term weight loss. Cutting back on all carbs helps you lose weight in the beginning and may even help you reach weight loss goals, but the chances that you maintain the weight loss are slim pickens. Restrictive diets are mentally challenging. What happens is the first time you give in to carbohydrate cravings you want more and try to make up for the time you deprived yourself of them. Furthermore, studies show that the brain needs carbohydrates for proper functioning.

Myth #2: The top 10 fad diets are based on recent studies and exhaustive information for weight loss that are ideal for quick weight loss.

Real Deal: Many top 10 fad diets are just worthless weight loss products. They are scams to fool people into buying their products. A top 10 fad diet may be based on a portion of a recent study that makes sense from a dieter's perspective, but they rarely offer the big picture. Just because a book has been published on a particular weight loss topic does not make it the best weight loss plan.

Myth #3: One of the easiest ways to lose weight quickly is to take diet pills.

Real Deal: No way. In fact, some diet pills are dangerous to your health. Over-the-counter weight loss products aren't fully tested or FDA approved. Any type of diet pill poses a health risk and have been known to cause illness and even death. Even diet pills that are approved by the FDA are risky. Products are often pulled from shelves after research show unhealthy side effects. Diet pills may help you lose weight fast, but they do not provide lasting weight loss.

In conclusion, stay away from any fad diets and just commit to the healthy way of losing weight properly.

Weight loss companies selling top fad diets and promote weight loss scams are just capitalizing on a multi-billion dollar industry. Additionally, these corporations don't want overweight people to know the truth about healthy, simple plans that work effectively, which would decrease their sales.
